Voter Engagement: Canvassing

Canvassing Is Just Around the Corner!

WHAT WE PLAN TO DO

The goal is to re-elect Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls and unseat the dishonorable Trisha Cotham in House District 105 as well as re-electing State Senator Woodson Bradley and former Governor Roy Cooper to US Senate. It’s part of a long-term strategy to reform our Courts by 2031. Our goal is to replace the gerrymandered maps that disenfranchise many citizens of NC.

HOW WE WILL DO IT

For those of you new to Indivisible Charlotte, canvassing is our strong suit. Canvassing is knocking on doors in targeted areas to encourage left-leaning registered voters to engage in our elections. It is not like canvassing you may have done for any other organization.

Who we choose to talk to is based on sound and reliable data. That data indicates that people will be receptive and most likely not hostile.

Volunteers are trained before going out and we always send new or less experienced folks with veteran canvassers who know and enjoy the process. We are a community; we don’t go it alone.

Please take the time to click on this form to answer a survey, whether you are new to canvassing or a pro. It will help us plan our overall capabilities.

With ICE and Border Patrol terrorizing our immigrant community, we are seeking bilingual volunteers to help reassure and reach out to our Latino citizens. Please help if you can.
