How can I join Indivisible Charlotte?

I am new to this. Can I get the newsletter without joining?

You can view the most recent newsletter on the Newsletter page. If you would like to receive it in your inbox, please sign up as a member and you will be added to the distribution list for the next one.

I live outside the Charlotte region. is there a way to check if there is an Indivisible group in my area?

Go to the Indivisible National website and enter your zip code to find groups near you.

I live outside the Charlotte region. does it make sense to join ICLT?

We have many members across the state and even across the country. With virtual events and informational articles, even people from outside our area enjoy the connection.

I’d like to get to know the organization and see if it is a fit for me. How can I do that?

We hold monthly socials to allow members to get to know each other and connect. They are the first Wednesday of every month at different locations around the Charlotte region. Please look for our monthly socials on the Events page.

How do I sign up for the monthly newsletter?

Once you fill out our New Member Request Form, you will automatically be added to our newsletter email list.

How can I find out what events ICLT has planned?

Our Events page, our private Facebook page (for members), our monthly newsletter and our Mobilize page all have our events listed with links to register.

Why haven’t I been accepted to the Facebook group?

We are careful about allowing people into the Facebook group, to help protect our members. Please complete the New Member Request Form. Our membership committee will review the form prior to adding new members. High recent activity levels means this may take some time, please be patient as we work through the backlog.

How do I add my friends to the Facebook Group?

Please do not use the ‘Add Friend’ button in Facebook. Share this link (facebook.com/groups/indivisibleclt) to the group and have your friends fill out the New Member Request Form and request access through Facebook directly. 

I am not able to make a virtual call. will it be recorded and how can I access it?

Most of our virtual events are recorded. For some more sensitive topics or special situations, we may choose not to record. For everyone registered through Mobilize, the recording and any key links and attachments will be shared after the event.

How do I get involved with protests?

I hear a whirlwind of activity in the news but don’t know what it means. How can I learn more?

Please visit our Events page. Our ‘In the Know’ sessions are intended to help educate our members so they can better understand the news and the impact it may have on them and their community. You can also find past “In the Know” articles and videos here.

I want to contact my elected officials to get them to do something! What should I say?

Please join our Every Call Counts team on the Events page. You’ll be added to the weekly emails that contain upcoming important topics and scripts for contacting elected officials.

How do I get an ICLT shirt?

We have shirts available to members at some of our events, protests and socials.  Please send us an email at indivisibleclt@gmail.com (Subject: Shirt Request) and include what event you will be attending and we will do our best to have one for you.

How can I donate to ICLT?

Donations can be made on our ActBlue page.

How do I unsubscribe?

Send an email to indivisibleclt@gmail.com (Subject: Unsubscribe). Please note that this will remove you from all emails sent directly by Indivisible Charlotte and take you off of our member list.
