NATIONAL ACTIONS FOR THIS WEEK

Use 5 Calls on the web or with the app (iPhone, Android).

Add your FULL ADDRESS to be sure to get the correct Legislators! 5 Calls uses zip codes to provide contact information for legislators. In some cases, zip codes are split across multiple congressional districts, so it is always best to double check. In addition, when entering your location on 5 Calls, using the zip code+4 can aid in accuracy. Find your legislators and congresspeople.

NORTH CAROLINA ACTIONS FOR THIS WEEK

Regulate Non-Profit Hospitals

Call your State Senator:

Hi, I’m a constituent calling from [street address, city, zip]. My name is ________.

I'm calling to urge you to support Senate Bill 978. This bill aims to protect healthcare workers’ rights of employment, limit excessive compensation of nonprofit hospital executives, and protect healthcare whistleblowers from retaliation. These bills are important reforms in controlling the cost of healthcare and making nonprofit hospitals more accountable to the general public. Please vote yes on SB978.

LET US KNOW YOU CALLED!

FIND YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS

Did you know that EVERY call counts? As long as you provide your zip code (and street address for voicemails), your phone call is tallied along with all others to let our representative know what is important to their constituents and that we are watching them closely. You can call on your own time!

  1. Choose which (or all) issues that need our support and follow the scripts.

Voicemail messages must include your STREET ADDRESS and ZIP CODE along with your name so that your call COUNTS!!

Send an email if your legislator is inaccessible by phone.

  2. Frequency: You can call each day for very pressing issues.

Some offices don’t tally the same issues on multiple days (but we don’t know which offices).

  3. Don’t forget to tell us that you called using the I CALLED! button above.

Let’s also THANK LEGISLATORS for taking the action we needed from them.
