Voter Engagement: Canvassing
Why canvass with ICLT?
In January 2025, we set two strategic goals: achieve fair maps by 2031 by re-electing Justice Anita Earls and secure the votes for Gov. Stein’s veto override, focusing on House District 105 as our best chance. We chose HD105 based on data from FlipNC (our data folks), that we statistically have the best chance to make an impact. We added NC Senate District 42 due to its overlap of HD105 and candidate Woodson Bradley's effectiveness fighting for our rights against right-wing extremism. After 3.5 years of voter engagement, we aim to finish strong in the last two months, having fallen short by just 209 votes in 2024. We know we can flip HD105 this time! While many amazing candidates are running in NC, we maintain our focus on these three races. Our hope is by getting fair maps in 2031 we can ensure ALL NC congressional districts are competitive and progressive candidates will win more seats. While there are many places to canvass this fall, we will direct our members to the canvasses we feel are most impactful and will make the biggest difference in NC.
We hope you choose to join us!
