In the Know Live: Timothy Snyder

On April 30th, Indivisible Charlotte is hosting preeminent historian Professor Timothy Snyder for an insightful discussion about freedom, based on his recent New York Times Bestseller book On Freedom. Professor Snyder’s On Freedom challenges the common “negative" definition of freedom — the absence of government interference — and proposes a “positive" vision where freedom is the ability to create and choose your future. In addition to discussing other topics from his book, we will ask Professor Snyder to connect these topics to what is happening in the USA today - and most importantly, how do we prepare for what comes next. Please join us and register for this In the Know Live podcast on Thursday, April 30 from 12-1 PM ET.

Timothy Snyder holds the Temerty Chair in Modern European History at the Munk School, University of Toronto, and is a permanent fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna. His books, which have been published in over forty languages, include Bloodlands, Black Earth, On Tyranny, The Road to Unfreedom, Our Malady and On Freedom.
