Workshop 1: Sustainable Activism at the End of the World (January 25 at 2pm)

This virtual workshop provides three frameworks for ideas and tools to make your activism more sustainable. Former Indivisible Organizer (TX/NM) Lauren Oertel will lead the group through discussions and strategic problem-solving.

You’ll leave the workshop with:

  • A worksheet identifying the framework and practice that most resonates with you.

  • A plan to implement that framework/practice to make activism more sustainable for you.

  • Additional resources in support of this sustainability work.

Workshop 2: Find Your Focus (February 22 at 2pm)

This virtual workshop provides the process for identifying which issues, roles, and actions you will focus on to make your activism more sustainable. Lauren will lead the group through discussions and planning activities. You’ll leave the workshop with a plan, resources, and a worksheet identifying:

  • Your focus areas

  • The types of actions that best fit your energy

  • Your sources of joy/rest to tap into for the toughest days

  • Which roles, issues, and actions you’ll remove from your plate to prevent burnout

Workshop 3: Finding Joy in Darkness (March 22 at 2pm)

This virtual workshop provides multiple frameworks for recognizing the origins of the darkness we’re navigating and how to connect with joy to make their activism in addressing that darkness more sustainable. Lauren will lead the group through discussions of panic v. safety/liberation zones, the window of tolerance, etc. You’ll leave the workshop with a plan, resources, and a worksheet identifying:

  • Components of your safety/liberation zones

  • How you will spend more time in the Window of Tolerance to take action with more ease
